Hi everybody.
Hope you all had a marvelous weekend!
I spent mine doing some strategizing and goal setting for 2011, which I decided to do after I read this post from my pal Shae Beezy. Thanks for the motivation, Shae!
So, since it’s Thanksgiving week and all, I wanted to do something special for you guys, and I came up with an idea for a contest that I think we will all benefit from…
To enter the contest, all you have to do is leave a comment below letting us all know what really gets you motivated. This could be a link to a video, a website, a favorite motivational quote of yours, a story, or whatever it is that gets you jazzed up and ready to take on the world!
My intention (aside from giving away a cool prize to the winners of the contest), is to compile one great big ginormous list of motivational stuff that we can all come back to when we need a little kick in the ass. Or a big kick in the ass, even.
Now, on to the prize…
I’ve been getting a ton of questions lately from people who are having a hard time building their buyers list, and wanting to know which strategies are the most effective when it comes to finding buyers for wholesale deals.
So….I’m going to be hosting a private training session for the winners of the contest on Tuesday December, 14th at 9pm, where I’ll be teaching you all of the top secret ninja strategies I’ve been using for the past few years to find cash buyers for my wholesale deals and build a buyers list that is rock solid! It will be an all content call, and at the end I’ll open the lines up and take any questions you have about the material I covered.
All you have to do to enter the contest is leave a comment below and share something that really inspires and motivates you. You have until midnight on Thanksgiving to enter. On Friday afternoon, I’ll put all the names in a hat (or a box or something), and then I’ll draw 15 winners randomly and post a video letting you guys know who won!
Oh, and also.….there will be a second drawing for those of you who voted for me in the Battle of the REI Blogs that took place last month! Since I came in 2nd place (woohoo!), I get to give away a copy of Patrick and Trevor’s Private Money Blueprint Training System to one of the people who voted for me. I’ll be announcing the winner of that on Friday as well!
Alright then, that’s all I’ve got for now.
Before I sign off, I’ll leave you with one of the videos that really gets me motivated when I’m feeling like a pile of garbage. I especially like to watch it when I’m procrastinating going to the gym. Does the trick every time…
(Note: I posted this on my fan page a few weeks ago, so sorry if it’s a rerun for you).
Alright, it’s you turn now…. leave a comment below and let us know what motivates you!
Have a great week everybody!
P.S.
Don’t forget to check back here on Friday to find out who the winners are!

Hi Steph,
I have this quote printed out and taped to my office wall. It inspires me to keep going when I feel like giving up.
“Fight one more round. When your arms are so tired that you can hardly lift your hands to come on guard, fight one more round. When your nose is bleeding and your eyes are black and you are so tired that you wish your opponent would crack you one on the jaw and put you to sleep, fight one more round – remembering that the man who always fights one more round is never whipped.”
I’m not sure who wrote it, so I can’t give credit to them, but it’s one of my favorites!
I’ll be back here on Friday in hopes of being picked for the call!

I just signed up for a motivational quote of the day at naphill.org. It is something really simple, but getting that quote in my inbox daily really helps. I had it sent to my phone so I cannot avoid seeing it. I love it!
I also (obviously) read all sorts of blogs and read/listen to success stories all the time (like those you post here!). That always helps keep me motivated.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, and I know I’ve mentioned this before, but my favorite Calvin Coolidge quote is below. I have it printed athome and at work.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. ”

My daughter is getting ready to go to culinary arts school and my youngest has dreams of being an NFL player…So if I had a motivation quote it would be

What motivates me? Being a single mother of two who are in college, I would say in all honesty. FEAR!! When ever I get overwhelmed, and am so tired that I cannot see straight, I think of my children, and what my hope is for their future, and It gets me up and moving! They have been my personnel motivators for the last 20 yrs or so. I have a college degree, but have always worked 65-70 hrs a week just to keep a roof over our heads. Their father has been absent in more ways than just physical for the last 19 yrs or so. And money has always been at a shortage, so the FEAR of keeping the roof over their heads, or now the FEAR of keeping them in school, or in Books, or computers or whatever they need to keep them ahead, has been my motivator.
I have been studying this real estate Investment stuff for the past yr or so, I have logged on to all the web sights, I know this is not only a great way to make money, but I find it very interesting as well, but I am afraid that FEAR is blocking me….the FEAR of the unknown, or FEAR of failure….I am not sure which. But I sure would love a opportunity to learn from you! I have been following your blog for the last several months, and I am just so impressed with your style and confidence!
Thanks for the opportunity!

Thanks for the continuous “pumping us up”! I wish it was only 1 thing that keeps me going, but, it’s a few things. First, when I turn my computer on I see a collage of pictures of my boys who inspire me to do well and remind me daily that I need to instill in them that they can do anything they want to in life if they put their minds to it. Then, depending on the early hour that I get up, that can of NOS and energentic music gets my mind and body racing and ready to go…..BUT, when I get to a “stuck” point and things just aren’t clicking fast enough (like making money – getting that deal), I listen to a number of videos by Nick Vujicic, affectionately known as “No arms, no legs, no worries”. If you haven’t heard of him, take a minute to check him out because he will blow you away…..! After watching one of his videos, I find myself smiling, laughing and re-energized! I love it!
Thanks again!

I like your contest. First I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Now I’ll tell you what motivates me:
There are quite a few things…..I use books and quotes and stuff…..one that I like listening to over and over (and I just started it up again last night is T. Harv Eker’s “The Secret of the Millionaire Mind.)
But the close, very personal things that motivate me are Kathy. She motivates me by believing in my and what I (and her) are truly capable of doing. I also get motivated so that Kathy and I won’t have to work and we can be home together all the time instead of me working 50 hrs. a week and her traveling 100% during the week……plus, we’ll be able to be home for Joe (we scramble a lot to figure out a babysitting schedule for him with our crazy hours) and of course always home for the kitty cats.
And another thing that really motivates me is that I want to take care of my mom financially. I want to fix up her house for her, actually to be honest, I just want to move her into another house, I want to have a thriving business so she can work for me (if she wants) and never have to worry about getting laid off again. I can only imagine how scary it is to be thrown back into the work environment in your 50s!
You know I attribute all of the good things about myself to my mom. And it took growing up to really realize all of those things were instilled in me because of my mom. From having awesome self-confidence all the way to she was the first person to tell me you have to think about your financial future and start saving (she introduced me to the whole ira and 401k concept when I was younger.) You know, Steph, even at 37 I think about things in my past and realize how my mom as had a huge, positive impact on me because of something she did, said, etc.
So….I think it’s time I start taking care of my mom
That’s a realllll big motivation of mine.
Musically……”Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves always makes me smile and gets me pumped up. So does “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi.
Ok I think I will end this book now lol

Everytime i look at him and smile and he smiles back at me I clearly see how God performs miracles, cause he truly is a miracle and the highest blessing, of the many I have been granted in my lifetime. Everything I am and am to become is motivated and driven for and because of him, through Jesus Christ. Hope everyone’s Day of Thanks is as blessed as my life has been!!!

CAUTION: DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY READY TO BE SMACKED UPSIDE THE HEAD WITH DEEP INSPIRATION AND WISDOM!! Good luck to the winner!
