Well, I had quite the day out in the Battlefield today…
Thanks to you guys, I was able to knock JP out of third place! I can’t do too much trash-talking just yet though, as there are still two hours to go before the polls close.
The last tally of votes was done at 3:21 pm, and this is how it looked…
1st Place – Julie Broad with 225 votes
2nd Place – Ron Mead with 208
3rd Place – ME!!!!!!! with 114 (Woot!)
4th Place – Susan Lassiter-Lyons with 96
5th Place – JP Moses with 91
6th Place – P-Rid with 68
7th Place – Trevor Mauch 39
Patrick is out celebrating his Birthday tonight (Happy B-Day P-Rid!), so he’s not going to be announcing the winner until 2pm tomorrow.
If you guys haven’t cast your vote yet, pretty please head over to the contest page and vote for me!! There’s still a little bit of time left, and every vote counts!
Thank a billion to all of you who have voted for me already- it really means a lot to have your support. You guys ROCK!
Later Alligators!
P.S.
Jim asked me to post this picture for him- he’s kind of competitive, and thought this might get me a few more votes..(he made the shirt himself, btw).
P.P.S.
JP just sent me a message and told me he’s giving up and wants all of his votes to go to me. He couldn’t take the pressure of the competition, apparently..
P.P.P.S.
Speaking of JP…..if you guys haven’t heard about the Flip or Treat call that JP and I are doing this Saturday (Halloween), click here to learn more! It’s going to be Spooktacular! Hehe. Hope to see you all there…

AWESOME WORK TODAY!! So happy to see you sitting in third before P-Rid decided it would be “fun” to stop adding votes until tomorrow. UGH!! How are we supposed to sleep wondering what happened with the voting?!! I LOVE that picture of Jim.

Hey Julie!
Yeah, I can’t believe he’s making us wait. I guess that will give him time to recover from a B-Day hangover.
I’m tickled pink to be in 3rd- hopefully it will stick overnight…Regardless of the outcome, though, I’m really glad I got to participate in the contest- I’ve met some really awesome people, and found some great new blogs…
Good luck tomorrow, and congrats on kicking so much ass in this contest.

Nice one, Steph. Your Photoshop prowess is matched only by Jim’s skill with glitter on a t-shirt.
What about that other picture of Jim? You know the one I mean…the one he posted to your Facebook wall yesterday. Man, if only I could post a picture in your blog comments!
In other news…YES, EVERYONE PLEASE JOIN US FOR FLIP OR TREAT TOMORROW!!!

Sorry to have to embarrass you in public, JP.
That’s what you get for picking on my dog.

In “Flip This REO” you mentioned that you became a realtor’s assistant which allowed you comps, lockbox codes, listings, and submitting multiple offers. If I become an assistant, what is expected of me, and what can I expect of the realtor? You also stated not to disclose to a realtor that your strategy will be wholesaling, so how do I approach a realtor in becoming an assistant?

Hi Greg,
It just depends on the agreement you have with the Realtor. In my case, the Realtor was a friend of mine, so I didn’t have to do anything.
As far as letting the Realtor know that you are going to be wholesaling the property- I was referring to the listing agent of the property that you are making the offer on, or the buyer’s agent if you are using one. I don’t recommend telling them that your intent is to wholesale, as most of them don’t understand how it works, and will most likely try to discourage you.
As far as what to tell an agent when inquiring about becoming an assistant, I would just be honest with them and tell them you need MLS access.
Here’a an article that my friend Kelly wrote about obtaining MLS access- you might find it helpful…

Hope that helps,
